one of the more challenging aspects of trying to work on this new series is the low-res and/or dimly lit quality of the pictures I'm working with.  it's hard to differentiate in the end product, for some of them, between obscured and absent facial features.  i.e - are they just in shadow or do they in fact lack eyes and lips.  hadn't occurred to me initially.  have a loose grasp on meaning.  i'm excited about doing this.  excited about life and projects because of these drugs.

the bees are disappearing, on a completely unrelated note, and i'm convinced that the thing that does us in is going to be because of some totally unpredictable combination of factors.  i mean, the bees - everyone is wondering what's going on with that - cell phone waves, pesticides, global warming, what?  and i think that it must be a combination.  any one of these things won't do it on its' own, but in combination it's a catastrophe.  so here it comes?  erego the hedonism and disengagement?
